On October 25, 2017 Osprey, in partnership with Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore and Coppin Heights Community Development Corporation, along with Governor Larry Hogan and the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development, removed more than 1,000 units of blight at the kickoff of the redevelopment of Walbrook Mill in West Baltimore. The demolition event was possible through Project C.O.R.E., or Creating Opportunities for Renewal and Enterprise. Project C.O.R.E. is a multi-year city-state partnership to demolish vacant and derelict buildings in Baltimore and replace them with green space or redevelopment. Osprey will redevelop the site to include 65 affordable apartment units, with commercial/retail space available as well. Construction is currently underway.
