Osprey Gott Ventures is pleased to announce the opening of Lusby Center located at the corner of Trueman Road (MD 765) and Rousby Hall Road (MD 760) in Calvert County, MD. Lusby Center consists of 64,000 square feet of retail space and 3 pad sites. Tenants include Food Lion, Pizza Hut, Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins, Hair Cuttery, Atlantic Wireless and other retail shops and services.
The $8.5 million project includes a two acre Village Green which is being donated to Calvert County. The Village Green is intended to serve as the focal point of the Town Center. The development will also facilitate the donation of the land to the County for construction of the Parkway which will help to alleviate traffic at the intersection of Routes 760 and 765 and assist the County in achieving its goal of transferring Route 765 into a pedestrian–oriented Main Street.
Calvert County is Maryland’s fastest growing county; it has seen a 45% growth increase in the 1990s and is projected to grow another 30% within the first 10 years of the century. The Lusby Center will help meet the demand for commercial and retail development and serve the increasing resident population.
The development team includes Osprey Property Company and the Gott Family; Collison, Oliff & Associates, civil engineers; Bignell Watkins, architects; and Branch Banking & Trust, financing. For more information contact Brett Guy at 443-716-2571.
