Osprey Property Company celebrated the Grand Opening of The Woods at Victoria Park on June 17, 2004. Welcoming and introductory remarks were made by David Lewis, President of Osprey Property Company, to a large group of development partners, residents, guests and staff who turned out for the event.
Guests included members of Virginia Housing and Community Development and the Area Agency on Aging. Hilda Barg, Woodbridge District Supervisor, was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for her efforts in the community’s development.
The 48-unit apartment community complements the 110-unit independent senior housing which opened in 1997 at the Powell’s Creek community of Woodbridge, Prince William County, Virginia. The attractive four-story building welcomes residents over the age of 55 and income restrictions apply.
One and two bedroom units will range from $525 to $800. All apartments have fully-equipped kitchens with a dishwasher, frost-free refrigerator, garbage disposal, range with front controls and upgraded cabinets. Safety features include an emergency call system, two eye viewers at the entry doors and grab bars in the bathrooms. Details have been designed into the apartments and common areas for comfort, accessibility and quiet elegance. All apartments are handicap accessible.
Community amenities include a spacious lobby and lounge areas, resident storage lockers, a community room, crafts room, controlled-entry access, and one elevator. The community also has access to the neighboring community’s outdoor pool. Resident activities, programs, and events will be coordinated through AHC, Inc. and the management staff.
The Woods at Victoria Park is Phase IV of the Powells Creek development which also includes a 156-unit garden apartment, a 135-unit townhouse community, and a 110-unit independent elderly apartment complex.
