Homes for America and Osprey Property Company are pleased to announce that Phase II of Chapline House is now accepting residents 62 years and better. Chapline House contains 30 one and two bedroom apartments and is part of the Chapline Place, which is a component of the Prince Frederick Town Center in Calvert County, Maryland. Chapline House, which opened in November 2002, has had 100% occupancy with a long waiting list. Phase II is expected to lease up quickly and will help address the demand for affordable senior housing in the county.
Calvert County has srongly supported the project which provides spacious and attractive apartments, affordable rents and on-site services for seniors. The attractive three-story elevator building has a brick and vinyl exterior. Designed for comfortable and carefree living, the community features a library/lounge with fireplace, community room with kitchen, hospitality suite and central laundry.
The charming and spacious apartments are equipped with full-size kitchens with frost-free refrigerator, electric range with front controls, dishwasher, garbage disposal, carpeting, and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Emergency pull cords are located in all bathrooms and bedrooms.
There are 12 one bedroom units which rent from $515-$650 and 18 two bedroom units which rent from $615-$775.
Partial funding for the project was provided by federal low income housing tax credits, a HOME loan from the state of Maryland, tax credit syndication by The Enterprise Social Investment Corporation, a construction loan from BB&T and a permanent loan from Susquehanna Bank.
